Hello Listers, I am searching for a Wyatt family possibly in the Cooke or Montague Counties in 1870. I am specifically looking for a James Morgan Wyatt, Charles Edward Wyatt or James Madison Wyatt. I have placed them in the 1880 census in this area but I am trying to determine their entrance into Texas from Missouri. Thank you. David Coates Charlotte, North Carolina
David, Are these separate heads of household, or would they be listed as one? The only Wyatt indexed in 1870 Cooke County was a William D. There were none in Montague. There are James Wyatts indexed in Victoria and Hopkins. There are no Charles Wyatts indexed in 1870 Texas, but a C. Wyatt indexed in Tarrant. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. If you would like me to check one of the above, let me know which one.
