    3. Linda, I have been reading how you have found so many people, I have one that I lost after the 1900 Wharton. In the 1900 Wharton Co. PCT 1 Coombs,W. vol 111 e.d. 54 sheet 11 line 64 color W Born Feb.1829 age 70 born Maryland in the house hold Coombs, M.J. W Nov 1843 56 Louisiana ---------Martha D May 1873 27 Texas --------John W S. Dec 1878 21 Texas ----------Wainright G.S. July 1898 1 Texas after this I can not find him nor his daughter Martha nor grand son, we have John .I am hopping you can have better luck. Thanks and I will be eternal grateful for you help when ever you have time. Aileen

    3. Aileen, I found no Combs/Coombs families indexed in 1920 Wharton County. I also didn't find any Wainright/Wainrite or Wayne Combs/Coombs indexed anywhere in the United States in 1920, so must assume that if he were living on his on at age 21 and indexed, he was enumerated with a "W" initial. Of course, there are hundreds of those throughout the US, but none indexed in Texas. I have no index for 1910, so can't help you with that census year, but if you can tell me who Martha Coombs married, I will check 1920 for her.
