Susan, I don't find this couple indexed. There is one Cora Holcomb indexed in 1900 Denton County, born Sep 1876 in KY, married one year to Lonza Holcomb, no children. I don't find any John or J. Holcomb/Halcomb or similar indexed in Denton County at all, though there are many of that name indexed throughout the state. Sorry I wasn't able to help. Hopefully someone else will have better luck. Hello Kimberly, I did not find a James E. Brown in McLennan Co. but did find William and Susan. Here is what I find on them. William Brown Head, Age 70, Himself and parents born TN, Suzana Wife, Age 69, Herself and parents born TN, William was renting his home, he was able to read and write, he was a Laborer for the Rail Road. Suzana may have been able to read, but not write, she was a stay at home mom. With more information I may be able to find James, was he married in 1920, wifes name, children ? Hello Nancy, I did not find Elizabeth in Travis Co. for 1920, so I looked up Bettie H. Triplitte in 1910 to see if Elizabeth was with her then. She was NOT, Bettie was listed as a widow, she lists herself as the mother of "No Children" none living. I know this to be untrue as I found Frank and Elizabeth H. Triplett in 1900 Jackson Co. MO. Kirsten, I don't find any Martins or Martens at all indexed in 1930 Harris County who indicated that they were born in Canada. There is only one Darius Martin (exact spelling) indexed in the entire US in 1930 That one was born ca 1873 in Kansas and enumerated in Lorain County, OH. Also one Winferd Martin indexed - born ca 1910 in OK, son of Thomas and Laura Martin and enumerated in 1930 Greer County, OK. Sorry I wasn't able to help. LaNere, Not sure about your question, but any infant shown as being "three months old" on the 1880 (or 1900, etc) census, would have been born during the month of April or on March 1st of that year. All answers on the 1880 census refer to the official enumeration date of June 1, 1880. Good luck!
