    3. hello, You should be able to go to the court house there in the town that she was born in. They should have it on file there. it is just a matter of looking it up and copying it for you.. You may have to spend a few bucks to get it. --- kerm goda <kermgoda@epix.net> wrote: > I hope I don't offend anyone with this type > posting? > My grand daughter was born in Sugarland, TX in > 1993. 3. Hi Kerm, You can get a certified copy from the Texas State Department of Health Serices. Birth certificates are confidential for 75 years unless you are a "qualified applicant." And I believe your grand daughter and her parents would qualify. Their web site says: "Copies of birth and death certificates are confidential under Texas Law for 75 years for birth certificates and 25 years for death certificates from the date of the event. If the death was less than 25 years ago or the birth was less than 75 years ago, the certified copies can only be obtained by qualified applicants. "A qualified applicant is defined as the registrant, or immediate family member either by blood or marriage, his or her guardian, or his or her legal representative." -- http://www.dshs.state.tx.us/vs/reqproc/birth_death_general.shtm Texas Vital Statistics Request Processing Forms: http://www.dshs.state.tx.us/vs/reqproc/forms.shtm Bill Allen <misterbill@pdq.net>

    3. I hope I don't offend anyone with this type posting? My grand daughter was born in Sugarland, TX in 1993. Because of the increased security at some facilities it becomes necessary for my daughter to have an "original" birth certificate rather than the hopital's form of birth certificate. Would some kind soul plese tell me how my daughter might obtain an "original" from the great state of Texas. Thanx. Kerm Goda in PA.

    3. I normally give enough information to enable the researcher to locate and examine the census enumeration for themselves when additional and more specific information is desired. If my usual lookup format will help, I will be glad to try this one for whichever year you specify. In the meantime, there are six Sally and Sarah Vaughns indexed but only one Mack or Mark Vaughn/Vaughan indexed in 1900 Grayson County. Mack was white and born in 1893. What do you know that might help our volunteers locate the correct family? What was the relationship of the two? Married couple? Siblings? Can you supply approximate age, race, place of birth for either? ----- Original Message ----- From: b byrd To: TX-CENSUS-LOOKUP-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Monday, July 18, 2005 1:25 PM Subject: [TX-CEN] [TX-CENSUS] Vaughn>Grayson County>1900 and/or 1910 Asking please for help in locating the Vaughn family at the 1900 and 1910 GrGraysonounty, Texas census: Mack or Mark Vaughn Sally or Sarah Vaughn I need the usual names and ages for all in their household, plus the precinct/district numbers, enumeration district number, page/sheet numbers, dwelling and family numbers, and the roll numbers. 2. Linda Murray
    3. Eva, According to the 1930 census, Tilmon was living in Oklahoma in 1915 when his son Ray (or Roy) was born, so you might want to check Oklahoma also for a marriage for Lura and Tilman. They would have probably married either in OK or TX about 1920-21, but I have not been able to locate the 1920 census enumeration for this family in either state. This particular list is only for census lookup requests, but I am sure that if anyone can answer your marriage question, they will be happy to reply to you offlist. You might want to try posting marriage lookup requests instead to the TX and OK genealogy lists at Rootsweb, as well as the individual Texas county lists where Tilmon might possibly have been living about 1920. Sorry not to be able to help you here. Good luck!
