I assume this is the right Angeline Cagle In 1880 Walker County TX Cagle, John age 40 b MS Angeline, age 25 b TX; she says father b. MO 3 daughters and one son 1880 Montgomery County Carr, Sallie says she was born in LA. The Carrs were in LA in 1840 so she is probably related somehow. Since Aquilla and Martha Carr would be in their late 70's, early 80's on the 1880, possibly they have died. And the 17-year old Carr daughters are living with Sallie. 1900 7-pct Montgomery County TX Vick, J. Henry and wife Josephine living next door to Dred T. Carr and family. You might already have this. If you live in Texas, most public libraries subscribe to TexShare Databases, which includes HeritageQuest. I see the census records thru my library. You might check with yours. Other states might do this also. I didn't find Jesse Carter on the 1880. I research Carters also. Sorry we haven't found Aquilla and Martha Carr. Thanks, this is information that I have. I would like to know who Sallie the widow from La is, but more importantly where is A.Carr (Aquilla) and his wife Martha who were with this family in the Harris Co 1870 census. ( Haydon was Peyton, Drayton was Etheldred Thomas,Josie was Samantha Joella and her twin Irean Isabella. I was told by my grandfather Etheldred T. Carr that he thought they went to live with one of their children in the Indian Territory. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jennifer Lugus" <jhl1188@optonline.net> To: <TX-CENSUS-LOOKUP-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, August 29, 2005 5:08 PM Subject: Re: [TX-CEN] Carr > Hello, > > In this case the trascription from the image is the same as on the website. > > 736 Dwelling visited/736 family visited > Enumerated on June 26th, 1880. > Sallie Carr 55 Head Wid Farmer LA LA LA > Haydon 25 son S works on farm TX LA LA > Drayton 23 son S Farmer TX LA LA > Josie 17 dau twins S TX LA LA > Bell 17 dau twins S TX LA LA > > Will send the image seply.. > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "James D. When I place the names and other information in their search I get no information. I have searched the 1880 census for Montgo, ery Co. Tx. and find my grandparents and their siblings; I want to actually look at thes censuses to see if I might find some clue as to where Aquilla Carr and his wife might be. Is there a website that is free that you can access the actual census or the transcription of those censuses?
