    3. Kloyece, There were no Melvin Browns in 1920 Stephens County. I checked all the Melvin and Mel Browns indexed in 1920 for the state, and none had a wife named Gladys. If her husband were near the same age as Gladys, they were probably living with his parents in 1920. 3. Rose, I checked all the Tom, Thomas, and T initial Bells indexed in 1900 Bell County, Texas, and found none who fit your criteria. Next I checked all the Thomas A. and T. A. Bells in the entire state, and still didn't find yours. There were about 50 who were just indexed as Tom and Thomas Bell in other counties throughout the state, but I really don't have the time to download those. I also checked the 1880 census index for Texas, and didn't find him there either. It would really help you to know when he moved to Texas. 3. Perhaps gone before 1900. I only found one Thomas Bell in 1900 Bell County. He, too, was born in Alabama, but born in 1865, and because his parents were born in South Carolina, he doesn't appear to be related to yours. Do you know his race, wife's name, or the names of his children? I will be happy to check 1880 if you think he was in Texas before then. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
