Desiree, I didn't find that surname indexed in Texas at all. Probably an error on the part of the indexer/transcriber. There was one Fred indexed in the 1880 LDS every-name index who was of about the right age and whose last name may likely have been misconstrued. La Nere, Found his family in 1880 and 1900 (Lee and Falls) but no Andrew in 1900, if it's the same Andrew A. who was in 1920 McLennan County. Any idea as to who he married before he married Mary, who had the two sons in 1920? No Frank nor FJM Titus indexed in 1860 Texas, Dianne. There's a Frank Titus indexed in Lewis County, Missouri, and a J. F. indexed in Cook County, Illinois. Need look-up in 1900 & 1910 census Bell County Texas for: Andrew A. Yarbrough & family. Thanks so much
Kloyece, Not near her parents - at least not that I have found. Am I correct in that I am looking for a Brown, white, male - either Clarence or Marvin, CM or MC - whose age would be 17-20? Do you have any idea what year their infant son was buried in Breckenridge Cemetery? You say "they were married only 2-3 years and had an infant son . . " If she was 15 on the 1920 census, I am assuming the son wasn't born until 1923 or so. Was Gladys living in Carrollton with her parents when she married him? Just prior to the 1920 census, I assume, considering her age. Also, if you know in which state he was born, that would help me find him in the index. Linda: I have a bit more information on "Melvin Brown". His given or middle name may have been Clarence. Evidently, he was 3-5 years older than Elsie Gladys Rambo. He wasn't from TX so I don't think they would have been living with his parents. They were married only 2-3 years and had an infant son, who died at ~ 17 days of age. The infant (Clarence Lloyd Brown ?) is allegedly buried in the Breckenridge Community Cemetery. The only other place they may be is Dallas County, Carrollton township, TX near her parents George D. and Willie Rambo.
