Trying to trace the "path" of Henry S. Coble (32 yrs) by the 1850 Texas Census. He was in Colorado County, Texas during the 1860 Census but have reason to believe he was in another county in Texas (or possibly Mississippi). Wonder is someone might check the 1850 Census for a Henry S. Coble (32 yrs TN) / Mary C. (32 yrs SC). No children. Thanks, David
I am looking for 2 WILLIAM T. ROTANs. The father, born 1835 and died 1890. In the 1870 census he was in McLennan County, Texas. For 1880 he might be in Falls or Hill County. The son, William T. Rotan born 1868. In 1878 after his mother died, all children went to live with other families. He would be 11 or 12 in 1880 census. Some know relatives are Boone, McGee and Cauble. I don't know in what houshold he was placed. I have found several William T. Rotan's but not the right age. Thank you, Gloria
thanks Linda, but I don't know anything else about him other than he is white, was a Baptist Preacher and they raised leghorn chickens near Palestine. >>>"I didn't find him indexed in 1900 Texas as either Darnell of Durnell. I didn't find him indexed in 1900 Texas as either Darnell of Durnell. The 1920 index for Texas gives - Spelling Durnell: Frank, age 22, born Texas, indexed at the Naval Station in Cameron W. P., age 32, born Alabama, indexed in Comanche County Harry, age 37, born Ohio, indexed in Dallas County Spelling Durnal: Dolly, age 42, born Texas, indexed in Dallas County Justice, age 20, born Texas, indexed in Dallas County Spelling Durnall: Francis, age 32, born Pennsylvania, indexed in El Paso There are quite a few Williams and "W" initial heads of household with the spelling "DARNELL", but none in Hopkins or Anderson. Any other suggestions? Can you give me his race, birthplace, and/or approximate year of birth? Linda, There are many William and "W" initial Daniel/Daniels indexed in 1900 Texas. I checked all those in Tarrant County and all those with a "G" middle initial, and didn't find yours. I then went looking for clues (place of birth, parents, neighbors, etc) in the 1880 census, and failed to find him indexed in Tarrant County that census year. How is he shown in the 1880 Tarrant County census? name or initials? race, birthplace of self and parents? living alone or with whom?
