According to the 1905 wedding announcement of James Shelton and Gertrude Warren, he was a teacher at Eastman College at Whitewright, Grayson Co. They were married in Celeste, Hunt Co. Hi I am new to this list. I have successfully found families that were in Boston Mass. as 2 branches of a family went to the Boston area, but Texas researching is very new to me. I am trying to find a family consisting of: John Holt STANWAY and his wife Elizabeth nee SIMS. All I know is that they came to Houston Texas in about 1854. They were formerly in Lancashire, England.I know nothing of any children they may have had. I do have available the 1880 US Census from the LDS but they are not there. Seeing as John was born in 1795 and Elizabeth was also born in 1795 they may have already died before that time. If I could find children, I then may be able to progress further. If any of these names rings a bell also, I would love to hear from anyone. Regards Joy Light - Melbourne Australia
