    2. Linda Murray
    3. Patti, I checked all those Walter Stewarts who were indexed as white, regardless of their age, and none of them had a wife named Nettie or Annette, other than the wrong one. There were 157 "W" initial Stewarts throughout the state, so of course, I can't go there. None of those were enumerated in Jack County. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, Linda in Georgia Census/Cemetery Lookup Volunteer Genealogy is my ONLY business. ----- Original Message ----- From: <PATTIBATES@aol.com> To: <lhmurray@bellsouth.net> Sent: Saturday, September 28, 2002 5:12 AM Subject: Re: [TX-CEN] TX-CEN] 1920/ Stewart > Thank you so much for all your work. 3. There were several David Richardsons indexed in 1870 Texas. I checked them all, and none were near the age of yours - none indicated that they were born in England. There were no Sophie/Sophia Richardsons indexed - no Lou/Louise/Louisa Richardsons - no Fred or Frederick Richardsons. 3. Truman, Red River County was formed in 1836 from the Old Mexican Municipality. Texas became a part of the United States in 1845, so the first regular census available for Red River County is 1850. Sorry. 1. Re: [TX-CEN] Red River/1850/Patterson
    2. Linda Murray
    3. No William or W initial Patterson indexed in 1850 Red River County, Texas. There was a Patterson widow in Red River who had no apparent son named James - also a J. A. and Susan Patterson, both age 28. He was born in Tennessee and she in North Carolina. They DID have a son named James, but he was enumerated as age 5, so I don't think he's the one you need. I also checked 1850 Louisiana (that's mine too), and don't find that they had a Red River Parish in 1850. 1. Re: [TX-CEN] TX-CEN] 1920/ Stewart
    2. Linda Murray
    3. Patti, There are 27 Walter Stewarts indexed in 1920 Texas, none in Jack County (of course). I have checked most of those who would be in about the same age range as Nettie or older, and have found one Walter and Nettie in Corpus Christi. Sorry, but I am not familiar with Texas counties, so have no idea what counties would be in the vicinity of Jack. In the enumeration of this family, Nettie's age is given as 38 instead of 35, and she gives her place of birth as Louisiana. Do you have any other details at all that would help me find the right one? Could she have been older than 35? Can you tell me what race they were? Do you know the names of any of their children, or where Nettie's parents were born? Thanks, Linda in Georgia Census/Cemetery Lookup Volunteer Genealogy is my ONLY business. ----- Original Message ----- From: <PATTIBATES@aol.com> To: <TX-CENSUS-LOOKUP-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, September 27, 2002 8:05 PM Subject: [TX-CEN] TX-CEN] 1920/ Stewart > I would appreciate any help I can get in finding Walter and Nettie Stewart > somewhere in Texas in 1920. 3. A great big "You are so welcomed" back atcha, Janet. Thanks for the kind words. Every time I think it's time to move on, somebody says something that makes me want to stay here a little longer. I think this is probably just what most old obsessed genealogists do when they have run out of their own folks to find. I've said it before - it's not so much the desire to help as the thrill of the chase. I really truly DO love to find 'em and flush 'em out! Thanks again!
