Would some one please look up David PEVEHOUSE in the Ellis Co., TX 1910 census? Wife, Laura. Thanks, Earl Bryant Florissant, MO
I don't believe there is an 1890 census surviving, but did check 1880 and 1900 with no luck. There were many George Sheltons indexed as heads of household in 1900 Texas, and I checked all those with a "W" initial, as well as all those with no middle initial at all, and all indexed as GW Shelton/Sheldon, and found none born 1877. Could he have perhaps been enumerated in the household of his parents, or another Shelton relative? Any idea who? Because he also doesn't appear in the every-name index for 1880 Ellis County census, I am wondering if they left the state for a while shortly after he was born. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Sylvia, Guidelines for this particular list are one request per week per email address, but pursuing the question of where Louis and Louisa's children were born, I checked anyhow just to satisfy my own curiosity. If you have found this family in 1860 Alabama, would you let me know the birthplaces of those children in the household in 1850 Red River County? (No, I don't have any Yeager connection - just curious.) I didn't find Lewis indexed in 1870 Texas, but this may be Louisa in 1870 Fannin County: 1870 Fannin County, Texas - Precinct 4 - PO Honey Grove - September 30, 1870 - page 270 180 - Yeager, Lousinah; age 54; keeping house; /$100; born Tennessee Wiley, age 20; works farm; born Alabama Charles, age 14; works farm; born Alabama Elon, age 11 (female); born Alabama Margaret, age 22 (black); housekeeper; born Texas 179 - Yeager, Francis, age 21; Farmer; /$600; born Alabama Elizabeth, age 20; keeping house; born Alabama James, age 29; Farmer; born Alabama Josephine, age 18; keeping house; born Alabama And this one appears to be the son, Lewis: Same as above - October 6, 1870 - page 274 220 - Yeagher, Lewis, age 22; Farmer; /$300; born Texas Amanda, age 20; keeping house; born Alabama Robert E., age 18; farm labor; born Texas Linda in Georgia Census/Cemetery Lookup Volunteer Genealogy is my ONLY business. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Sylfleming@aol.com> To: <TX-CENSUS-LOOKUP-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, October 06, 2002 10:13 AM Subject: [TX-CEN] 1870/YEAGER/Hunt? > Hi, > > Would someone PLEASE look up the family of Lewis Winston YEAGER in the 1870 > census of Texas? My gr grandmother's name was Docie Ann Wade. Her mother was Frances (Hyde). We believe her father to be either MA, or possibly Marion Wade. We found a marriage license for MA Wade and Frances Hyde in 1857 in Travis County but no MA & Frances Hyde in the 1860 census. MA Wade would be deceased before the 1870 census but have not found out why. I know this is a lot of info but I thought it might help if anyone were to do any investigation for us. I guess what I'm asking is if you can locate them in the 1860 census. Docia Ann was born around 1866 or so......Again, any help would be very appreciated. Thanks, dklein
