Diane and Wayne, Thank you both for telling me there is no 1840 census. And Diane, thank you very much for the info you went to the trouble to find and send. It helps a lot! Leona Subject: Re: [TX-CEN] 1840 / Robertson Co, TX / McCuistion Leona, There was no 1840 census for Texas. May I suggest you search Texas Tax for the 1850's. I did a general search and found Noah McCuistion marriage to Mary Curry, 20 January, 1848 in Brazoria County Texas. I also found land records (3) his name in Johnson County Texas which is Robertson District. Hope this helps, Diane
Will someone please look up these families in 1840 Robertson Co, TX ? They should all be on the same page, living close together. Robert McCuistion 70 may have 2 sons and 4 daughters with him. James McCuistion 25 wife and 2 kids Noah McCuistion 18 single Thanks much! Leona
The first federal census for Texas was conducted in 1850 - and there are no McCuistons indexed in the 1850. Would you be so kind as to look up Robert S ADKINS b 1850 or 1856 TX? I thought I had him on 1870 in Limestone Co TX Census living with a family named WHITE, but I am not sure now that he is ours. I have conflicting birthdates for him. He was either born 1850 or 1856. I have him for sure on an 1880 Ellis Co TX Census as himself and his wife and the son James mentioned below.
