I would think it might be what time of year the census was taken and if he was in residence in April or in June for instance. I found a number of Army listings and state hospital listings over the years in 1920 and now 1930. Look for the city it was located in. Quinta ----- Am hoping you folks with census expertise can answer this question. If a person was enrolled at Texas A&M in 1910 how would locate them on a census? David - can't find this family anywhere in the 1930 Texas Census. What does the J. D. stand for? Maybe that will show something. This family is not in the 1930 TX Census. I looked under all their names and used the soundex too, in all counties. Hi Everyone, The 1900 Hill Co. census is organized by precincts and Enumeration Districts, rather than townships. My ancestors, William and Alta Woody were in Pct 6, ED49. What is the best way to determine where in Hill Co. they lived? Knowing this will help me figure out which cemeteries to search first. Thanks, Terri Walker http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=terjess2
I would really appreciate a look up on the 1910 Palo Pinto census for S.A. SMITH (Sandifer Anthony) and family. He lived on top of Buck Creek Mountain near Santo in a sandstone house he built. Thank you, Carole Vaught

David- E. W. Chapman and Emma are still in Montague County, with exact vitals as in 1920 except he is 56 and she is 55. Still farming. No Julia Coble, however. She must have passed on. I did a search on her with no results. Is there an 1870 Census Index for the entire state of Texas? I just was informed that E. James Kellett and his wife Harriet might have migrated to Texas and was living there in 1870 with their family. I have no idea as to what county. My only hope of an easy find is an index other wise I am going to need to check county by county. Kathleen Burnett
