Souther, born abt. 1856 in Illinois. I know that they had a son name Earnest Souther, who is buried in Collin County, Texas. Earnest died in July 5, 1896. This was George W. Batey's wife, married in 1881. Trying to locate relatives on her side. She died in 1909 in Falls County, Texas. She was known as Katherine/Catherine Stephens/Stevens Batey. But on her marriage license her name was Cappie, on her death certificate her name was Cathel. After George died in 1904/05, don't know what county he died in, he is buried in Van Zandt County, she married a Mr. Troup in Falls County. She married George W in Smith County Texas and had several children born in Van Zandt County Texas. Who were her parents or siblings. Are they in the census? She should be in the 1870 or 1880 census.
