Hello list I am looking for a 1930 TX census from Denton County, Denton Tx on David Peter Switzer. In the 1920 Denton County census he was 50 years old and his wife is Effie. He was born in Iowa and his children were Elmer, Grace and Vera. On the 1920 census he was listed as D P Switzer and the 1910 census he was listed as David P Switzer. Linda, you did an excellent job reading this image. I don't know what the son's name is born May 1890. It must have been a very hot afternoon in June 1900 when the census taker wrote these down. The writing is not the best to start out with. My copy is also very light on the right hand side so can't read many of the columns. Hello David, Would it be possible that Lorenzo and his family were in OK in 1880 ? Do you have any more information on Lorenzo, like when and where he married, who he married, his childrens names ? Could Nancy Rose Lovett have had a nickname other than Nancy or Rose ? Would you know if Lorenzo's middle name might have been George ? Let me know if you have any other information on this family ? If he was in OK in 1880 that may be why we can't find him,as I am not sure all of OK had a census in 1880, maybe someone else on the list might know about this. Did Texas have an 1840 census? Were there any families named Hardin or Hudson in it? In what year did Texas begin having its own state census? I am Dianne Hardin doing research on my new found Hardin family in which my granddad is the youngist child:John T. Hardin. His dad: John Dickson Hardin, mom: Susan Hudson Hardin. Your group did the lookup. I am greatly impressed and extremely happy with your efforts. Others had provided this family before, but I was not sure it was the right one. I trust that you all are the "experts"and I take this family with open arms! Dianne Hardin in Ca. - Wishing I were in Texas.
