    3. I'm searching for Ferris Wilton (Bill) Billingsley, born May, 1910, OK, and his wife, Lorene Christene McElroy Billingsley, born November, 1911, TX. In 1930 they should have one daughter, Betty Jean Billingsley, born May, 1930. Bill was the son of Jepetha Billingsley and Hessie Parks Billingsley. I don't have information of their ages or where they were born. Lorene's father was born in AR and mother born in TX. Lorene's parents were Lester L and Ella McElroy. I gave the older Billingsley and also McElroy names in case they were living with them, but don't think they are. I appreciate your help. Dortha McElroy Greenlee

    2. thank you Linda. I guess I have to go to local FHC and get into the TX soundex. Unfortunately I do not know Willie Crawford's parents' names. I'll try to look him up in 1880 online census. Thanks again, Cyrille ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I give up Cyrille. I looked up the 1910 census you spoke of to get their correct ages (he was 39 in 1910, not 30 and Nancy was 38, not 28) and where they were born, but I still can't find them. I've looked at every Will, initial W. and Willie in the U.S., aged 21 thru 30 and there is no last name sounding or looking like Crawford. Being married only 6 years at the time, do you suppose they could be living with one or both of his parents? If so, he would just be listed under them and the index wouldn't have his name listed. Do you know his parents names? 3. Don't EVEN think about it! You are one of the best looker-uppers I know. Sometimes they're just not indexed or misindexed with a name that is nothing akin to the real name - and other times they have been skipped by the enumerator altogether. We all have days when it seems that nothing we look for is there. Please don't give up the Texas ship. I don't know what we'd do without you. 3. Hi Emmitt, Okay, I found your Jacob and others with same last name living on ajoining farms. If I may, I'd like to give you some suggestions. First off, in the subject line of your emails, please type them like this as they are easier for us to read quickly and easily. 1910/Ellis/Hollabaugh Then in the body of the email give all other pertinent info you can think of. Full name, approx age or approx year of birth, where they were born, spouse name if you know it, children's names if you know them, etc. If you have found them on any census, where they were living at that time. The more you can tell us, the better chance we have of finding them. 1910 Ellis Co., TX, JP 6, April 21, 1910, ED 143, Stamped pages # 216a and b 134, 135 - Midlothian and ?? Road page 216a Jake A. 3. Sorry, Jane, I still don't find J. H. or M. E. The only one of the group I can find is Paul. 1900 Travis Co., TX, JP 3, Austin, Ward 5, June 2, 1900, ED 89, Sheet 4b 70, 78 - There are three heads living at 308 W. 16th, family 78, 77 then Paul with a group of males Willam H. Allen is the first person listed of 11 males - all show "at school" under occupation. The head #76 is an architect, so I'm wondering if possibly all these fellows were learning to be architects. Just a guess. Paul Howser, boarder, W, M, Dec. 1876, 23, Single, TX KY VA, at school All 11 fellows show single except 1 who is a widower. All are in their early to mid 20s except the widower who is 40. This has to be your Paul. Just hope you can make sense of what I've written. 1. 1900/ CRAWFORD, Will/ Marion County?
    2. Will (WIllie) CRAWFORD (CROFFORD) married Nancy HODGE in Cass County on 1/25/1893. I found them in Marion county in 1910: Marion Co., TX, 4th Pct, stamped page 223B, ED 106. CROFFORD, Willie - Head, M, B, 30, Md 1, 16, Farmer/General Nancy - wife, F, B, 28, Md 1, 16, Farm laborer/Home Farm Asa - son, M, B, 16 Odium (?) - son, M, B, 12 Willie B. - dau, F, B, 8 Annie B - dau, F, B, 3 Sons Asa & Odium (referred to later as O.D.) should be on 1900 Census. Nancy was very beautiful, I'm glad a relation provided a picture. She mostly resembles her sister Martha HODGE. Thanks for help with finding them in 1900. 3. Hi Judy, I'm beginning to feel like I should give up being a looker-upper. Can't seem to find anything today, and you sent such a good query, with all the info we feel we need. However - it didn't help this time. I've looked in 1900 and 1910 census records and can't find Richard, Rich, Alonzo, Lon or Dick fitting your description. I even went back to 1880 to see if I could find Richard or Emma without much luck. The only Emma Raborn I found was born in IN (I think). It certainly wasn't TX. Have you found them on some other census? Can you think of anything else that might help us? Parents names, children's names, etc. Linda in Texas ----- Original Message ----- From: "LARRY & JUDY RAIBURN" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, June 30, 2004 10:57 AM Subject: Spam Alert: [TX-CEN] 1900 census look up > Hello, I am looking for help on the 1900 census. > Looking for: > Richard Alonso Walker , white male b. abt 1858 Ga. and wife > Emma Letha (Raborn) Walker white female b. abt. 1868 Tx. > > Thank you in advance for your help, > Judy > > > > ==== TX-CENSUS-LOOKUP Mailing List ==== > To Unsub from regular mail mode, send the command "unsubscribe" to > [email protected] (Remove the XX and replace it with your state abbreviation ) > > ============================== > Gain access to over two billion names including the new Immigration > Collection with an Ancestry.com free trial.
