Hi Pat, I've looked every way I can think of for these people and haven't been able to find anything. Where were David and Frederick born? Maybe I can find them which might give a clue as to where David and Jennie are. Could this have been Jennie before she married David? Need a look up on Wickliff or Wick T. James, approximate age 22, possibly in Cooke County and possibly still living at home with John James and spouse Elizabeth. Thanks; Nancy
Yes, but head of household instead of every-name. Not available through Ancestry, but Genealogy.com owns a 1900 US census index that they have "conditionally" loaned/rented to Heritage Quest. Of course, like all indices, it is not totally complete, not totally accurate - in fact full or omissions and errors - but an index nontheless, and a thousand percent better than nothing. Hi Dortha, Changing from Bosque Co. to Wilbarger Co. won't help. There were only two Berry Yorks in the US in 1930, both in New York. I would be most grateful if someone would have a look-see for the following family: RICHARDSON, David b. abt. 1819 England, employed by Galveston Daily News RICHARDSON, Jennie b. abt. 1835 Scotland His children from his first marriage (Eliza) would all be adults, but just in case any of them were living with their father still in 1870, their names are: Sophia J. b. 1839 Annie b. 1841 David b. 1843 Louisa b. 1844 Eliza b. 1847 Frederick b. 1848 Many thanks, Regards, Pat, Mission, B.C.
I am searching for Berry M York, born 1885, in TX. His father was born in NC and mother in AR. I show his wife to be Mae Dehn, born 1886. This may not be true, as the children with her were named Dehn and they , mother and children, were buried with other Dehn family, but in same cemetery in Bosque Co., TX. I appreciate your help. This is interesting, Linda. I don't think it's my family, but one never knows!! I appreciate your help. I may try later for the Dehn name. There were quite a few with that name in the cemetery in Bosque Co. All together. Dortha, Do you know what occupation Berry had? I find only one Berry York the correct age. He is in Queens Co., NY and is a stage performer as is his wife and two children. Also in the household are his In-laws (King) and they are theatre performers. Don't know if this could be your Berry or not. His 1930 info shows age 45, which would be correct, born TX which would be correct, but shows both parents born TX. There were some Yorks in Bosque Co., but none with a name close to Berry or B.M. There was only one other Berry (F.) York, also in NY aged 60, if I recall correctly. If you think this might be your Berry, you can contact NY-CEN. If you have any trouble getting the info though, let me know and I'll get it for you.
