    3. Hi volunteers...........here we go again with my crazy James line. I need a look up on Wickliff T. James (also referred to as Wick James) in the 1910 census. Wick was born in Cooke County, Texas around 1878, so he would be around 32 on the 1910 census. Parents are John James and Bettie. He was shown living with his parents in the 1900 census. I find a marriage of Wick James to a Minta Mitchell in 1903 in Lamar County. Wick is also buried in Lamar County, so that information may help. Thanks so much! Warm regards from east Texas; Nancy

    2. Sharon A Sanker
    3. Unsure just how they would be listed on the census... Don't they have to turn up somewhere? Thanks to all that are searching for me. Really appreciate it. Searching for August Scharf m Maria Elizabeth (Stoecklin) born in Switzerland in 1830, Married Jan 15, 1853 in Gasconade County, Hermann, Missouri and seems to disappeared after. Per her father's will of 1881, she was deceased with children, tho no mention of names nor where they lived. I would be most appreciative if anyone can locate this family. Beginning with the 1860 census please. I was unaware that an all name census is now available for 1880, tho no cigar there either, Wonderful for some tho.! Sharon Missouri Sharon in Missouri

    3. Estella, please do not correspond directly to my email regarding census lookups. Anything to do with any query should be in the archives. I had attempted to find your Sam Mims thru the TexShare database with no luck. Went into Ancestry this morning and found him. 1870 Red River Co., TX, Clarksville P.O., August 1, 1870, Stamped page 53 576, 576 Letha Mims, 40, F, B, AL, keeping house, $100 personal estate Sam, 17? 19?, M, B, TX, laborer Harriet, 14, F, B, TX James 12, M, B, TX Dick, 6, M, B, TX Alleck, 5, M, B, TX Letha thru James is marked "can't read/write". Sorry I didn't find him before. Linda in Texas ----- Original Message ----- From: Estella Mims To: Linda Huff Sent: Friday, July 16, 2004 11:19 PM Subject: Re: [TX-CEN] Red River County 1870 Hi Linda, I don't know the names for Sam Mims parents or siblings unfortunately. I'm also not sure when Sam Mims came to Red River County or if he was always in Red River County what happened to his family. It is possible he was there but just wasn't listed in 1870 for whatever reason. I've seen Mims in Marion, Panola, Freestone and a few other counties but have no idea if they are any relation to my Mims. It makes me curious if my Mims migrated from another county to Red River County. Were John Mims and Richard Mims listed in the same household? Was race noted for these 2 Mims? Thanks for the info. Estella ----- Original Message ----- From: Linda Huff To: [email protected] Sent: Saturday, July 10, 2004 4:48 AM Subject: Re: [TX-CEN] Red River County 1870 Hi Estella, I'm not finding anything on this one. I find only 2 Mims in TX 1870 between the ages of 11 and 30. John, 12, b. TX and Richd, 27, b. TX. Both are in Red River Co. They also happen to be the only two Mims listed for that county. Thought I might find his family and he was still living at home. What are his parents names? He may still be with them somewhere. 1. Re: [TX-CEN] 1910 Rusk County TX/Ramsom
    2. Dena I looked at the census you mentioned and I can't make out the names any better than Vicki. The enumerator didn't write clearly enough to make out the names. Vicki did the best she could. Sometimes that happens. Maybe another census record will clearify the name listed. Hey! Don't knock dollar store eye glasses! I use them all the time!! :-) Marguerite

    1. 1850 census Tx.
    2. Could someone look up HARDIN in Grayson county,Tx(near Preston) coming from Ky(Taylor county- if possible) in 1850. I am looking for the unknown father and family of a John Hardin born in Preston,Grayson county,Tx. in 1854. Two nights ago on the Grayson co. lists, someone mentioned this Hardin family. But only a Ben Hardin and a William "Bill" Penn (who lived in the county, served in civil war, later got into a family feud and was killed). I don't know if the Hardin's stayed in the county in the 1860 census? May have gone to Missouri. I'm sorry to ramble on...just thought of this other info while making request. I would be grateful for any/all help. Thank you in advance. Dianne Hardin in Ca.
