Don't believe there is a 1830 or 1840 federal Texas census as Texas didn't become a state until 1845. Linda, I can sure see why you are confused? I am sorry. Thank you for your patience. Yes, I would like to find Clint on the 1910 census. I found a Clint in Arkansas in 1910, but it does not seem to be the right one. You are right the 1900 shows him as a widower too, yet his wife & child are still in Erath in the 1920 census. Lola, there are no Witten surnames in Wilson Co. either. Did you see the answer Johnny sent thru on the 27th of February on your Wilton query? Do you not think this could be your Della Bell? I guess it might help some to know why we are looking for Della and not her husband if you know they are already married in 1930. OR, if the husband is deceased, when did he die? She might be remarried and not knowing birth info on her, we'd probably never find her in this instance. OR, if she is the relation, do you know any siblings names? Please give any other info you might have to help us in this challenge. This was Johnny's answer on the 27th in case you didn't see it: "Della B Hunt Born abt 1910 -- Daughter, Father - William C Hunt, Mother - Varry E Hunt , 1930, Precinct 8, San Patricio, TX" It can be transcribed if you think it is your Della. Minter, head, W, M, June 1872, 27, Mar 2 yrs, VA KY VA, day laborer Martha, wife, W, F, Dec 1873, 26, Mar 2 yrs, 2 children, 2 living, TN TN VA William F, son, W, M, Aug 1898, 1, S, TX VA TN Herman, son, W, M, May 1900, 0/12, S, TX VA TN 1910 finds them in Maricopa Co., AZ. James is listed twice, enumerated in April, with wife Mattie & children, W. Franklin 12, Herman 9, Bertha 6, Roy/Ray 4 and Earl 1 - he is again enumerated in May on another page living alone but it shows married. 1920 Maricopa Co., AZ - found Martha, divorced, with children William 21, Herman 19, Bertha 16, Roy/Ray 14, Earl 11, Charles 9 and Billie 5. 1930 Maricopa Co., AZ - found James, divorced. Not positive but think Frank W. Minters 1930 Mohave Co., AZ may be your William Franklin. There's a brother Earl 21 living with him. You'll need to send a query to the AZ Census Look-up group for the Arizona records but you will have the counties and names to look for.
