My family name is TWEEDELL, some older papers spelled TWEEDLE. The oldest direct ancestor I have information on is Alexander Washington Holbert TWEEDELL b. 16 Aug 1812 d. 26 Jul 1901 GA, wife Sara Moore b. 1813 d. 3 Aug 1877 GA. In most documents his name was found as A. W. H. Tweedell. According to family information he was born in the Athens, GA area, per census information lived in Butts Co GA and died in Gordon Co GA. He was a Methodist preacher and teacher. I have information on all of his descendants but I can not trace his root any further back, any information on this line would be greatly appreciated.
