Nov. 3 1883, Ontario) were; Thomas Tweed (b. 1760, Antrim, Ireland and died June 6, 1827, Ontario) and Esther Dickey (b. Abt. 1780 Belfast, Ireland and died April 16, 1871). Both are buried in Cassburn Cemetery, Prescott County, Ontario. In Cyril Thomas's book, "A History of the Counties of Argenteuil, Quebec and Prescott, Ontario", published in 1896 on page 558 it states; 'Thomas Tweed came from the County of Antrim, Ireland, about 1820, and settled on a farm now (1896) owned by his granddaughter, Mrs. Robert Sproule [nee Ellen McWatters], where he spent his remaining years. Mrs. Tweed, his wife, died in 1870 (sic) aged 93; they had three sons and four daughters.' Thomas Tweed lived on lot 11, Concession 3, West Hawkesbury, Ontario. Regards, Jean Rutherford
