Found in Pioneer Society of Michigan Reports of Counties, Towns, Etc. pg587 Lyman Tuttle Lyman Tuttle, Esq., was born in Tunbridge, VT in 1810 and died at his residence in this township (Decatur), near White Oak, at 2 o'clock a.m., on Wednesday morning, May 21, 1884, being at the time of his death 73 years of age. He moved from his native place to Kalamazoo in 1836, where he continued to reside until 1860, when he came to this township and resided here until his death. His funeral took place at his residence on Friday, May 23 at two o'clock pm Rev. H W Harvey officiating. The deceased leaves, to mourn their loss, a widow, a daughter and two sons. Mr. Tuttle was well and favorably known to all our citizens, and was univerally regarded as an honorable and upright man, one whose loss will be felt throughouth the community. His demise was not unexpected, as he had been a great suffere for a long time, from the effects of a cancer which was the cause of his death. The bereaved widow and family will receive the true and earnest sympathy of all who know them, or who were acquainted with the deceased. So far, not my Tuttle, but thought I would post.
