>From Pioneer Society of Michigan book pg 587 Lyman Tuttle Lyman Tuttle, Esq. was born in Tunbridge, VT in 1810 and died at his residence in this township (Decatur), near White Oak, at 2 o'clock AM on Wednesday morning, May 21, 1884, being at the time of death 73 years of age He moved from his native place to Kalamazoo in 1836, where he continued to reside until 1860, when he came to this township and resided here until his death. His funeral took place at his residence on Friday, May 23, at two o'clock pm REV HW Harvey officiating. The deceased leaves, to mourn their loss, a widow, a daughter and two sons. Mr. Tuttle was well and favorably known to all our citizens, and was universally regard as an honorable and upright man, one whose loss will be felt throughout the community. His demise was not unexpected, as he had been a great sufferer for a long time, from the effects of a cancer which was the cause of his death. The bereaved widow and family receive the true and earnest sympathy of all who know them, or were acquainted with the deceased
Thanks for posting the obituary of my third great-grandfather. Is anyone else desecended from him.
