If noone on this list comes up with the answer (William Tuttle has a comprehensive Tuttle genealogy), you might see if someone at the Erie County NY list will do a lookup in the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library there, or write to that library, Special Collections Department, they are online, and ask them to do a lookup in the Dickinson and Tuttle genealogies. They have two different Tuttle genealogies, I think, unless I have it confused with Doolittle as I'm descended from that entire clan, as well as the Dickinson genealogy. I missed only a couple of families who formed that clan in the center of the village where they lived. I actually have the first generations of these families on my web site, but it would be a pleasant surprise if I took it to 1850's.
