I have been searching for the birth and other information of Thomas Vincent TUTTLE. He would have been born about 1890. He married Edith Gilberthorpe in Sydney in 1920 and he died and is buried in Botany cemetery in 1954. I am also looking for Edith's death as well. Edith is actually my connection and I would like more information about the family ie children. Any help would be appreciated. I saw the recent posting on the Tuttle list for a Jay W. Tuttle in Taney Co, MO. My Tuttles were also from Taney Co, MO and so I assume that they are related. I do have one Jay W. Tuttle (Actually John Wesley Tuttle) but the dates do not quite match. All of my Tuttles are online in my gedcom file. You can get to it from my home page by going to http://www.GenealogySource.com and then clicking on "Gedcom". Do a search for Tuttle and you will see them all. I also have a number of old family photos of the Tuttles that we could exchange if it looks like we connect. A few of them are online at http://www.GideonFamily.com . Do you have any additional information on your Tuttle(s)? If so I have a number of Tuttle cousins that I could share it with to see if we connect. By the way I am leaving for a week's vacation in a few hours from now (Sat. morning) so I will not be able to reply to emails until a week later. Hi Hal, I have very little information on Jay. I looked through some of my research and remembered I had sent for his SS application. It indicated his parents John Wesley Tuttle and Hulder Evelyn Sandhal. Does this help? Thank you, Patty Asmus
Tuttle's in Nebraska. I have some in Tekamah about 45 miles north of Omaha but no Jay. Most of mine are earlier although some lived there in the early '30s as one was killed in a tornado in 1931. My grandmother was Rosanna Tuttle. She had a brother, Elisha, that had descendants in the area. Their father was Chandler. If you get some additional information, maybe we can tie some of them together. Hal Haswell halhas@aol.com
Ran across these entries in the 1881 History of Washtenaw Co, MI, pg. 508: Tuttle, Apollo A., was born at Kendall, Orleans Co, NY, Oct 9 , 1823, present residence, Saline, Mi Tuttle, L.M., Ypsilanti, was born at Ypsilanti, MI in 1829 Tuttle, Mrs Mary A., born in NY city in 1827; came to Ann Arbor in 1823. These are listed in the "Members of the Pioneer Society." Hope this helps someone in their Tuttle search. Hi, I am new to the "Tuttle" list. I am beginning to look for information on Tuttle's in Nebraska. I have one name so far, Jay Tuttle he was from the Omaha area, however, I don't know if he lived in or just near Omaha. He was in his early to mid 20's in 1935. I believed he died in the late 1970's. Any help or relatives out there? Thank you, P. Asmus
