To New haven listers, this is good info for those researching some ancient families in New Haven ----- Original Message ----- From: svonhitrit To: dnsfarms Sent: Tuesday, November 21, 2000 9:49 AM Subject: Re: Blakeslee Yes, hello cousin Duane! I didn't have any info on Susanna, so this helps a lot. Any idea where Ebenezer Blakeslee and Martha Beach are buried? I am a desc of Susanna's younger brother, Enoch Blakeslee, b. March 18, 1769, who married Sarah Denton. Enoch was Colonel of the Greene Co. militia. since Susanna is a collateral ancestor, I don't really need any desc info, but I really appreciate the offer. What you wrote below is great! When you look at the attached, you can see that Susanna's ancestor #23 is a Doolittle. So her first husband Benajah Hall Doolittle was a half cousin. Benajah's ancestry is Ebenezer Doolittle and Lucy Hall Ebenezer Doolittle and Lydia Warner Ebenezer Doolittle and Hannah Hall Abraham Doolittle and Abigail Moss (2nd wife) Susanna's: Ebenezer Blakeslee and Martha Beach Ebenezer Blakeslee and Jemima Tuttle William Tuttle and Mary Doolittle Abernathy William Abernathy and Sarah Doolittle Abraham Doolittle and Joan Allen (1st wife) Take care, Steve von Hitritz ----- Original Message ----- From: dnsfarms To: "svonhitrit" ( Blakeslees of Windham " ? I am a descendant of Richard Tuttle, who, at the age of forty-two, immigrated with his family on the Planter, which sailed from London to Boston in April 1635. The passenger list for the Planter lists Richard, his wife, Anne (aged 41), his mother, Isabel (aged 70), his son John (aged 10) and daughters, Anna (aged 12) and Rabecca (aged 6). Three other Tuttle family heads also came to New England on the same ship – John who settled in Ipswich, Simon, his son, and William who settled in New Haven. John and William were Richard's brothers. The Simon who came on the Planter was Symon's grandson, not Symon. --Greg Gilman

I've pretty much got this stuff on my site at http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Acres/5127/Readyhough/tuttles.html. It isn't easy to establish who the Elizabeth's were, if you have it pinned down, I'd be interested in your line of reasoning. You have Symon and Elizabeth coming here in 1635 and bring William, who you have born in 1607, who was then three years old? I'm looking for information on John Henry DUNN and his wife Mamie Brooks TAYLOR (b. August 11, 1890). These are GGGrandparents of my wife and that's all I/we know. They had 4 children, Clarence Wyatt DUNN (b August 9, 1912, d.October 1983) who married Lee Dee TUTTLE (b. September 12, 1912, d. abt 1939) and 3 others who I believe are still living. Clarence and Lee are my wife's GGrandparents. My wife's father was born in Comanche, Texas (so that may give a very rough geographic region for those of you who might have a connection). We would love to know more about any of these ancestors and would love to find some distant cousins out there!! Sincerely, Jeff Fleming The Woodlands, Texas
