    3. Dear Gail, Thank you so much for all the wonderful infotmation!. I completely forgot about the death certificate info. I remember getting it off the internet, but could'nt find it when I put my query in last night. I have very little information on this family. The census info.is a big help, and I truly appreciate it. Do you by any chance have access to the 1910 census, to see if there are Turners in Dunklin county? Better yet, if you can tell me of a good site to subscribe to the census I would appreciate it. I use to have access to it from godfrey.org, but they no longer offer it. I know ancestry has it, but I'd like an alternative if you know of one. Thank you again Gail! I appreciate all the time you put into this. Sincerely, Pat "Gail R. Blancett" <ablancett@atlantic.net> wrote: Another bit of info. Jim M. Shores born 1870 and Gertrude E. Shores born Sept 28, 1879 (yes that is what the census says) born GA with father born GA and mother born TN were in Dunklin Co., MO in 1900 Census, Freeborn township. Listed as married 1 year. No children with them. At the bottom of the page, last line, is a female Turner. There is a huge black area there so you can't really make out the name except the first letter is an "E" but I'm almost certain it is a female that is head of household. You can't read where she is born but her father and mother are both listed as born in NC. The next line (top of next page) is an Edna Turner daughter born July 30, 1887 (age 12) born in GA father born GA and mother TN. I would guess this is a sister of Gertrude and the female head of household is likely her mother. I tried searching Carroll Co., GA 1880 and didn't come up with the family--at least using search parameters that seemed reasonable. It would appear that the family was likely still in GA if Edna is indeed her sister and she was born in GA in 1887. Don't know if any of this helps or not. 3. Everyone should check with a local library to see if they offer Heritage Quest. I can use my library card with a pin number from them to log on from home. Some of the census years are searchable and some you have to browse page by page but at least it doesn't cost anything.
