I guess I thought the British soldier would be enough to identify it as the Revolutionary War, but we also fought the British in the war of 1812, didn't we? Got any suggestions as to how to find a possible British deserter of that war? Thanks! Isaac's parents were Isaac and Priscilla Banning. Looking for his parents, the father possibly a British soldier who decided to stay here after (or during) the war. Does this sound familiar to anyone out there? I'm at a loss as to how to research him. Any help? Thanks!
