    3. Hi Everyone, Looking for relatives of Isaac Banning Turner & Elizabeth Wood who came from Ohio. Isaac's parents were Isaac and Priscilla Banning. Looking for his parents, the father possibly a British soldier who decided to stay here after (or during) the war. Does this sound familiar to anyone out there? I'm at a loss as to how to research him. Any help? Thanks! Shirley

    3. I have posted this before but I never get an answer. Maybe some day someone will know... I have a Turner relative. She was born in Maryland about 1780. She moved to Virginia and shows up in the 1850 census with a family. There is no husband. Now I don't know if Turner was her maiden name and the two children were out of wedlock.. Her name is Sophia A. Turner. One daughter was Virginia Turner about 1828 who married Owen Thomas Sealock born 1818. They lived in Waren County. Sophia also had a female living there named Eliza Turner no husband. Eliza had several children one was Mildred Turner 1835 who married Thomas Fox 1835 they moved to Frederick County Maryland. On her marriage certificate Mildred Turner is said to have listed her father as John Turner and her mother Eliza Howard Turner. No record of a John Turner has been found and no marriage license found. Can anybody shed any light on this family.

Both girls were fostered, does anyone know anything about them just one more time???? I hope you are able to locate info about your Sophia A. Turner. Good luck.
