    1. [TURNER] Heritage Quest rumor not true for all libraries
    2. I just checked with our local library in Hillsborough County Florida. They have no information about stopping this service. We are a pretty large county and they really keep on top of things here. It is up to individual libraries. Just FYI, you can get an out of area library card to our library for $30.00 which will give you access to HQ from home among a ton of other things like Conumer guides, Newspapers and magazine from around the country...etc. _http://www.hcplc.org/hcplc/ig/_ (http://www.hcplc.org/hcplc/ig/)

    3. Don't forget, however that Ancestry has every name indexing for the census and 1850 which HQ does not have plus many more resources other than census. I have and use both Ancestry and HQ in my online searches. They both are useful. The NEHGS site for members of the society is another good online subscription for those with New England roots. A NEHGS membership is $75 per year. They will be losing their access to HQ I believe along with other genealogical societies mentioned earlier in this thread. But they have other unique resources and the quarterly journal subscription mailed to ones home.
