    3. Lisa, We will have to take two approaches. The first is to identify all of the participants in the Turner DNA project who have ancestors who lived in South Carolina. The second step would be to go to RootsWeb or to the Census records and locate them. I already checked RootsWeb and I found that there are over 600 Turners who were born in SC between 1805 and 1815. The difficult job will to be to trace them back to their place of origin. Which Turners descending from William Turner/Mary McLemore were living in SC around 1810? Never thought about that approach before. I'm going to start trying to look at all the Turner families from the 1810 census to see which ones are compatible DNA.
