I am researching the following history. Rev. William Turner, a minister of the Presbyterian Church, was born 1645 in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. About the year 1680 he removed to the North of Ireland on account of religious persecution. Persecution followed him there. In 1741 he obtained a ship and led a party of emigrants to Maryland and settled in Worcester Co. His wife was Mary McLemore. Wm. & Mary Turner had the following children (born between 1671 and 1681): William Elisha Mary Ebenezer John (1) John (2) Gertrude - married John Walker Thomas Elisha married Elizabeth Hicks and they had the following children: Philip Elisha, Jr. Mary William Elizabeth Henry Ebenezer John Elisha, Jr. married Mary Carroll and their children were: Thomas Ebenezer Elizabeth Henrietta John Zadock b. 1729, Worcester Co., MD Levin Daniel William Zadock, Sr. married Sabra Hicks and their children were: Henry Joshua Zadock, Jr. Mary Philip Zadock, Sr. and his 2nd wife, Mary Ann Blizzard had: Elizabeth Sabra Thomas Easter Hezekiah So far, I have looked all over the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Virginia for clues to these people. Zadock, Sr. is a well documented veteran of the Revolutionary War and I have a photograph of his tombstone in a cemetery in Sparta, GA. I have also done some research in Scotland and found a record of a William Turner who matriculated at Marischal College, Aberdeen. The trouble is in tying the two ends together. I intend to go to Ireland in August to find the missing links. If anyone has advice on where to look in Ireland or in the U.S., I would appreciate the help. Sincerely, Phil Turner
