I have a copy of Roskey's book and the Turners that are on pages 55-56 are part of the family of Col. Thomas Turner of King George Co., VA. Nothing in the book connects him to the Bedford Co. Turners. Joan, if you can tell us a little more about YOUR William Turner--spouse, where he lived, children's names, etc. maybe those of us who have done a lot of research on the various Turner lines in VA might spot a connection to something in our records. We might know then if it seems reasonable that he fits in that group of Turners on pages 55-56 of Roskey or perhaps in one of the other DIFFERENT lines of Turners that Roskey summarizes. Also, Roskey is not the Bible on Turners--it is a very sketchy outline. There are errors in it that later researchers have been able to unravel.
