Hi Margaret, << Now I wish someone would post on Jefferson and St. Lawrence Counties New York Turners.  Most of you seem to be researching people from the South. >> Which Turners are you looking for in NY and what time frame? Our Turners (John & Mary Turner plus 10 kids) were in Oswego Co (the county just south of Jefferson) from ~1818-~1840 & Peter Helmer Turner worked in Jefferson Co. & married Lydia Ann Smith there in 1836 before heading out west in the 1840s.
