    3. Hi Joanne, It turns out as I look back that it is the Fentons where I am stuck. I had forgotten I had essentially solved my friend's TURNER line. What I am stuck on is the FENTON link. Samuel TURNER (son of Samuel Turner & Mary Stocker) b. 18 Jan 1749/50 in Salisbury, Litchfield, CT married a Sarah FENTON. They had a son Miles TURNER b. 1785 VT who married Hannah COLE and had Lois Fenton TURNER born in Gouverneur, St. Lawrence, NY in 1831. Interestingly enough a mystery of two Miles TURNERs in Gouverneur, NY in 1810 was solved through help I received on this list a year or two back. They turned out to have an uncle-nephew relationship. However, I never have learned much about the uncle's family. There are so few postings for NYS Turners, that I always try to see if there are any connections when I see a NYS Turner posting.
