    3. I have enjoyed reading all the info on the Turner list lately and have watched with great anticipation for some of my line. Actually it is my husband's line but I guess we've been married long enough that it seems like my line. I started out trying to trace "my family" several years ago but kept coming up with tidbits on the Turners and eventually found myself looking for them everytime I was at the library or a courthouse somewhere. I have not seen any of them (as far as I know) on the roll call so decided to post some of them. My line is Fielding and Nancy (I think Coleman) Turner. They were born between 1802-1810. The 1830 census says both were born in Tennessee but others say he was born in North Carolina and South Carolina. They lived in Bledsoe County, Tenn. in 1830, 1840 and 1850. They were living in Walker County, Georgia in 1860 and in Marion County, Tennessee in 1870 and 1880. As far as I know, here are their children: 1. James L. - b abt. 1830 & d December 5, 1864 2. Liza Jane -b abt. 1832 & d after 1880 3. Jessie Jackson - b August 30, 1833 & d January 3, 1909 4. Franklin - b abt. 1837 5. Josiah - According to his tombstone he was b July 27. 1838 (I disagree with this date) & d October 18, 1906 6. Elizabeth - b abt. 1843 7. William Riley - b abt. 1845 8. Millie - b abt. 1847 9. George Washington - b abt 1849 & d after 1890 10. Samuel - b July 1852 & d 1924 All these children were born in Tennessee except Samuel and he possibly could have been born in Illinois. I have done extensive study on this family but am a long way from haveing all the details about them that I would like to have. If any of you have any info, whether it's something that contradicts mine or not, please let me know. I'm not above errors. Thank you, Donna
