And I imagine we've all heard the one about the recruit, R. B. Jones, who enlisted and finally convinced the authorities that he had no names, only initials So whoever was doing his paperwork entered R. (only) B. (only) Jones . . . and of course for his entire military career he was stuck with the name Ronly Bonly Jones . . .
