This is my brick wall: I know Esley was in Greenville District, SC 1830 thru 1840. He then moved to Cherokee County, GA. My cousin just had the DNA test, but alas, at the present time there are no matches from the Turner DNA project. Another piece of information is that on "18 Jan 1870, Esley was murdered by William C. Turner in Pickens County, GA". This was something passed down, but two weeks ago I found this notice in the "Black Book of Georgia, pg 312 verifying how Esley died. It doesn't state why William murdered Esley. Any help on this line will be appreciated. Is there anyone doing research on Sion Turner b. abt 1765 d. July 1848 in Greenville District, SC married to Mary Hart? They died within 3 days of each other and buried in the same grave. The year Sion died was the same year Esley's son Sion Esley was born. Sion was also in Greenville District in 1830-1840. Would like to know if the Sion line has had any DNA tests. Thanks! Turner, Easley b. 1818 (Pickens Co., SC) d. 18 Jan 1870 m.
