    1. Roll Call - John TURNER [b1861], Co. Durahm, England
    2. Murray Jones
    3. Good morning folks I am looking for the natural father of my maternal grandfather. He was born John HENDERSON, Sunderland, Co.Durham. Where & When: 8th March 1861 at 17 West Trimdon Street Name: John Father: Robert HENDERSON Mother: Mary HENDERSON formerly TURNS Father's Occupation: Blacksmith Journeyman John's mother Mary HENDERSON (nee TURNS) remarried after her first husband Robert died. She married William TURNER Feb. 2, 1868, making John almost 7 years old at the time. Mary and William raised John's illegitimate son (my maternal grandfather) as their own. I am currently trying to find John TURNER/HENDERSON. Not sure if he would have kept his birth name or used his stepfather's last name as in the 1881 census when and if he did marry. His sister actually used Hendreson when married. Would love to hear to her if perhaps anyone has a John TURNER married with father Robert HENDERSON, Blacksmith or step-father William TURNER, Joiner. I haven't had any luck with the John TURNER marriage certificates Murray Jones Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada Mclaughlin's Law: "In a key position in every genealogy you will find a John Smith from London"
