My GG-grandfather was Edmund Swan TURNER, supposedly born in Hereford in about 1820 to John M***del TURNER (could he be anything to do with the John MUNDELL mentioned as a witness at the end of the will in your note?) and Sarah Swan. His first marriage took place in Marylebone, London in 1845. I've just sent for the certificate, which may clarify his father's middle name and should also give his profession.
