John Randall Turner, b. 9 March 1919 Springfield, Mass., married 28 August 1948 to Marian Bernice Ames, born 20 September 1921 in Burlington, VT. Served as B-24 pilot in the 8th Air Force, shot down over Germany on first or second mission, imprisoned in Stalag Luft 1, Barth, Germany. Known to reside in Ponte Vedra, FL as of 1998. His grandmother's maiden name was Charlotte Haake Turner. Little is known of her ancestry. Bill Abbott
