Thank you so much, Harold, I do have the information that you found on Wingate..and the William HOLTs of GA & AL. The info you found is from my online HOLT genealogy! :-) What I don't have is any information as to where they were prior to GA...I may start again in Halifax co, VA where James HOLT (William's father) lived before coming to GA. I've looked some in SC but so far haven't found anything on Wingate TURNER or William HOLT. I did find some documentation in the Greene county Courthouse records..but nothing further back than the early 1800s. Thank you again for looking for me, I 'preciate it...
