    3. Carolee, This guy would be a fantstic guest. Here's what I have on him. I'm happy to share what I have on his descendants. Regards, Charles Individual Narrative of Consider Turner (249) Consider Turner (249) had Pension # Wt. 5155, Service #158042 (?). When the army was throwing up breastworks at Roxbury, they struck upon the bones of an Indian burying ground. General Heath said as he passed by, "let those men lie, we have soldiers enough." "But, (said Turner) if your honor pleases, we want officers." In 1777 he was taken prisoner by Burgoyne, at Ticonderoga, and was kept in the camp until the surrender. We have been informed by a fellow soldier of his, that he used to afford infinite amusement to the officers, and that the General once said to him, "I shan't exchange you, Turner; I shall carry you home; the king wants a fool." When Bourgoyne marched out with his army and surrendered, Turner took occassion to pass near the General and say, "we shan't exchange your Honor, the people want a fool." from Family Sketches, p.362 "Ebenezer Tolman and Consider Turner, sodliers in Col. Marshall Regt. in Capt Nathaniel Winslow's Company, are permitted to pass the Guards from this to Still Water." 26 Sep 1777 from Soldiers, Sailors, and Patriots of the Rev.
