Judith Your query was one of the few that centre around California - I wonder - and this is obviously a long-shot - did you come across (maybe a cousin, nephew etc. to your realtives) a Lloyd Edmund Turner in LA in 1923 in your research. He 'supposedly' married my grandmother Eileen Geddes in late '23 or early '24 - but we can find no record of the marriage in LA or Orange counties. He also reputedly died in a car accident in '24 - but again no death record. Have more background info. if you feel there is any possibility of a connection. Thanks for considering my question.
