In working with John M. Turner and desc`s I keep seeing the possible surnames for Sarah, his wife, as "Hanks, Banks, Canks" On the Heritage Quest census indexes I see "no" Canks listed in the U. S. for 1810 or 1820. Seems to me we could eliminate the surname "Canks" and possibly simplify the possibilites in our research for Sarah`s surname. The second leg of the "old" "H" in documents can look like a "C" if the first half is missing. Also, the loops in "B" can possibly look like the loops in a capitol "C". Just some "food" for thought.
