Linda, Did Mary draw a pension on Sampson's Rev. War service? It would seem that if she lived until 1850, she would have filed for pension. The widow's pensions usually contain a lot of information. I have looked for a pension on Mary and her son Wilson. Nothing. Mary re-married in 1812. Would that be any reason for not finding a pension? Both mother and son drew in land lottery, but this gives nothing on Sampson. I am open to any suggestion as where to search. Thanks Gail for your reply. Pensions were not available if the widow remarried. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Linda Hallman" <dixierose@alltel.net> To: <TURNER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, August 06, 2006 6:38 AM Subject: Re: [TURNER] Maryland to Georgia > > I have looked for a pension on Mary and her son Wilson.
