    1. RE:Richard P. TURNER Al. Miller Roll? Y`all?
    2. I can`t help but think some of Y`all would know something about "the" richard P. Turner who is on the Guion Miller Roll, listed as from Al. No.30101 page 38 and 39. Where would he have been from in Al.? The roll was after about 1904 act of Congress. Could he have been a desc. of John W. and Sarah Hanks Turner?they had a lot of siblings. any rumors out there of "Cherokee"? I`ll be glad to ck. them out. Lori

    3. Lori If you can't find anyone on line that has this information, then you will have to submit a Form 83 with the National Archives. To order copies of these applications, you must General Note submit a completed NATF Form 83 which includes the individual's name and application number. A separate form must be completed for each file you wish copied. To obtain an NATF Forms 83 write the National Archives, NWCTB, Old Military and Civil Records (Form 83), Washington, D.C. 20408. These applications are quite extensive where the person listed had to prove Indian heritage. On the application should list at least 2 to 3 generations of the family. The Guion-Miller roll was after 1906 so at least two generations have to be listed unless his parents are registered. He is not listed on any further Rolls so more than likely he was turned down. Hope this helps. Ed Turner >From: SewzArt@aol.com >Reply-To: TURNER-L@rootsweb.com >To: TURNER-L@rootsweb.com >Subject: [TURNER] RE:Richard P. TURNER Al. Miller Roll?
