I am looking for Fletcher Turner b Ocy 1859 in Wilson Co., TN. Is listed in the 1870 Fed. Census in Wilson Co. as an 11 year old farm laborer. His parents were Matthew James Turner and Martha Jane Major. The onlt Fletcher Turner I find is one born in 1910. Does anyone know where to fine elusive Fletcher Turner? Bob Cummings

Bob, I found an F. E. Turner in Lamar Co., TX in 1880. This F. E. was living in a Campbell household and the right age to be Fletcher Turner. This is quite speculative but the use of initials might be the reason you can't locate Fletcher Turner. Also in 1880, Matthew J. Turner's mother-in-law was living with him. Her surname was Phillips.
