Mary D Turner married Joseph B Maxwell born 1851 Meriwether Co, GA. His parents were George W Maxwell born 1832 GA who married Elizabeth Estes born abt. 1834 NC. Any connections? thanks, Mary

Mary, There doesn't seem to be a connection. My Maxwells descend from Henry Maxwell (1730-1791) who lived in Pennsylvania and served during the Revolutionary War. His descendants went west into Ohio and points further west. I don't know of any of his descenants who went to Georgia. If you are interested, you can look at the Westfall-Maxwell genealogy on World Connect. The name of the file is paturner_00.
