    3. I have been reading your emails with a good deal of interest. Please do not ever say "his/her genealogy is wrong".......please say 'his/her genealogy has not been documented, therefore questions about it's origin exist.' Just because ONE professional researcher could not document what he/she/or you found does not mean the facts and the documentation do not exist. I am a certified researcher (professional if you will) and if I am only hired for 1 to 4 hours to do research in 1700 I am not likely to find 'just what you want.' I might find it on the internet just as anyone else could (which is not why I was hired) but to travel to a courthouse and/or other repository of records to see the actual record in question may take a lot more than 1 to 4 hours. It takes time, a lot of time to go through all those old records, read the handwriting and sort out the pieces to the puzzle. Unfortunately most folks who hire us want a gold nugget for their family tree when they have offered us only a pittance to obtain it. I can assure you professionals vary in ability as well as resources. We don't perform magic! It is long, slow and tedious but since we know where to look and since we enjoy the search we may well have more success in a shorter period of time than the novice, though even that is questionable sometimes. Just a thought...... Ila
